Marta Shocket, PhD

Headshot of Marta Shocket

I’m a disease ecologist interested in how the environment shapes patterns of infectious disease across spatial and temporal scales.

I will be starting as a lecturer at Lancaster University in the Fall of 2023. Previously I was an affiliated scientist in the QDEC Lab led by Sadie Ryan at the University of Florida and an adjunct faculty member for the Citizen Science program at Bard College. I earned my PhD with Spencer Hall at Indiana University and completed two postdoctoral appointments, first with Erin Mordecai at Stanford University and then with Van Savage at UCLA.
